Alma Lavina

Alma Lavina, second child of Jacob and Anna Katherine Lampert was born on October 3, 1873 at Oshkosh, Wisconsin and died January 9, 1964 at Spearfish, SD at the age of 91. She married John J. Fayel on February 19, 1897 at Hill City, SD. John Fayel was born on October 9,1857 in Watertown, New York and died October 21, 1898 at the age of 41. Keystone, SD and it is recorded that the Holy Terror was one of the Black Hills of South Dakota richest Gold Mines, but also one of the most dangerous because of the type of rock formations. Alma then married George P. Bennett on June 26,1901. George P. was born on April 12, 1864 at Adrian, MI, and died December 29, 1932 at the age of 68 at Beverly Hills, CA. George P. Bennett came to Rapid City in 1890 and was involved in mercantile and cattle holdings. He owned holdings in the Harney Hotel in Rapid City and the Evans Hotel in Hot Springs. George P. Bennett and Jacob Lampert owned the Rapid City Lumber and Machinery in Rapid City. After George's death Alma endowed a hospital in Rapid City, the Bennett-Clarkson Hospital.

Alma and John Fayel had one child, Theresa Helen who was born January 9, 1898 at Keystone, SD and died December 16, 1977 at Beverly Hills, CA at the age of 78. Theresa married William G. Buell on October 14, 1920 at Rapid City, SD. That marriage ended in divorce on June 14, 1930 and Theresa then married Lloyd A. Green on August 10, 1931 at Santa Ana, CA.

Theresa Helen and William Buell had one child, a daughter, Betty Jo, born on June 27, 1923 at Rapid City, SD. Betty Jo married Gary Baldwin on February 12, 1943. Betty Jo died December 29, 1961 at the age of 38 at Los Angeles, CA. Betty Jo and Gary Baldwin had two children.
1) Sharon Alexa, who was born on December 17, 1945. Sharon married Samuel Farr and have one child, Jessica. They live in California.
2) Bradley Bennett Baldwin was born February 28, 1951.


Alma Levina Lampert and George Bennett had one child, Charles Lampert Bennett who was born June 23, 1903 at Rapid City, SD and died July 17, 1990 at Rapid City, SD at the age of 87. Charles (Chuck) Bennett married Grace Gretchen Brinker on June 16, 1936. Grace was born on September 3, 1901 at Winamec,Indiana. Chuck was a director for the Short Line Railroad and manager of the Bennett properties.
